Merchandising Rules is a feature that handles search results in stores using VTEX Intelligent Search. This feature allows you to display products that are more relevant to the customer and to add or hide pre-selected products from the search results.

To provide a more visual, complete, and intuitive experience, we have launched a new editor option for creating merchandising rules.

What has changed?

Previously, stores using VTEX Intelligent Search relied exclusively on the manual editor for Merchandising Rules. Now, you can also choose the new visual editor, which allows you to:

  • Preview the search results customers will see while navigating the store.
  • Reorder search results.
  • Pin a product to the top positions in the search results.
  • Review the main product information.

When creating a merchandising rule in the VTEX Admin under Storefront > Intelligent Search > Merchandising Rules > New, you can choose the type of editor you want to use. Read the Merchandising Rules guide for more information on the differences between the manual and the visual editor.

What needs to be done?

No action is required. The new editor is available for all stores using VTEX Intelligent Search. Read the Creating merchandising rules - Visual Editor guide for more information.
