VTEX store overview
Introduction to VTEX

VTEX is an integrated global commerce solution based on microservices. It provides a comprehensive end-to-end marketplace, native order management (OMS), and a composable commerce model. This enables stores across various segments to manage their operations efficiently and at scale, delivering exceptional shopping experiences to their customers.

The following image shows VTEX's solutions and possibilities, which will be covered throughout this article series:

Besides the resources available on the Help Center and Developer Portal, as well as the VTEX Community, our website provides additional information about the platform through demo videos and ebooks created by our partners. There is also a series of onboarding videos (available only in Portuguese).

Track overview

This track presents the journey of a VTEX store from its initial settings to the go-live. But before configuring the platform modules, planning backend integrations, and choosing a frontend technology for building the storefront, there's a preliminary step: determining the account type and architecture that best align with your business needs.

Each ecommerce operation has its own particularities and this content is not intended to encompass all possible scenarios. Our goal is to provide a general model and present the features and possibilities of the VTEX platform.

The content is organized sequentially for educational purposes; however, this does not imply that the steps need to be executed in order or that the previous step is a block for the next. Some steps can be completed in parallel, at least partially, such as backend integrations, settings for some modules, and frontend implementation.

Onboarding guide overview

The VTEX store overview is the first track in the Onboarding guide. After the go-live, there are several other solutions and settings on the platform to diversify your store's sales strategies and expand your business operations. This is the focus of the second track, called Next steps after the go-live.

The third and final track of the Onboarding guide is Support at VTEX and aims to provide our customers with the best platform and support experiences. The track covers how VTEX Support works and explains how to open tickets to get help with technical, billing or commercial issues.

Now we are ready to begin our journey.
Welcome to VTEX.
